Hello! My name is Debbie. I’m the head content producer of The Earth Kitchen. I run the ins and outs of social media, to the recipe development, food research, to taking the food photography, post-editing the photos you see on social media and on this site, and constructing my blog posts. I also answer any inquiries, comments, and friendly conversations you may have had. I do it all. The Earth Kitchen has and always been my baby passion project.

I’ve been plant-based for nearly five years now and vegan for about three years. I am a firm believer that being vegan does not equal to giving up the tasty flavors that I was once used to and grew up with. I still eat the same amount (if not even more) of my favorite food – the only difference is that I just eat a vegan version of it.

My vision for The Earth Kitchen is, not to fully mimic, animal-based products (like making over processed vegan “steak” from scratch for the sake of making steak) but to share homemade recipes that are tasty on its own whether or not it is a version of a traditional recipe. I believe that good food comes from quality and with the right combination of flavors and the effort you put into a dish, it becomes something magical. That is truly The Earth Kitchen experience.

I want to normalize plant-based food on this blog by simply making tasty recipes without putting too much emphasis on how it’s free from animal products because good food is, and always will be, good food. There are no labels. And making plant-based food can be just as delicious (maybe even better) from the flavors that we were used to.

Enjoy & Happy Cooking!
